🇭🇺 Hungary recipe
Pörkölt
Pörkölt is the foundational Hungarian stew from which many of the country's most famous dishes derive. Unlike gulyás, which is a soup, pörkölt is a thick, intensely flavored braise of meat and onions bound together by an abundance of sweet paprika. The onions melt down completely to form the rich, concentrated sauce.
