🇭🇺 Hungary recipe
Kürtőskalács
Kürtőskalács, or chimney cake, is a sweet yeast pastry from Transylvania that has become a beloved Hungarian street treat. A strip of sweet dough is wound around a wooden or metal spit, then slowly rotated over heat until the outer layer caramelizes into a glossy, crunchy shell while the interior remains soft and airy. Freshly baked, it is rolled in sugar, cinnamon, crushed walnuts, or cocoa.
