🇵🇹 Portugal recipe

Cataplana de Marisco

Named after the iconic hinged copper cooking vessel from the Algarve, cataplana de marisco is a dramatic seafood stew where clams, prawns, and fish are steamed together with tomatoes, onions, peppers, and white wine. The sealed cataplana traps all the aromatic steam inside, creating an intensely flavoured broth. When the lid is opened at the table, it releases an intoxicating cloud of seafood-scented steam.
