🇷🇺 Russia recipe
Plov
Plov is a magnificent one-pot rice dish that came to Russia through centuries of cultural exchange with Central Asia. In a traditional cast-iron kazan, lamb is first browned to a deep golden crust, then layered with sweet carrots, fragrant cumin, and whole garlic heads before being topped with rice that steams to fluffy perfection. The dish is cooked low and slow, and when the lid is finally lifted, the aromas are absolutely intoxicating.
