🇵🇭 Philippines recipe
Leche Flan
Leche Flan is the Filipino version of creme caramel, but richer and denser than its European counterparts because it uses more egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk. The custard is steamed rather than baked in a water bath, resulting in an incredibly smooth, dense, and creamy texture that holds its shape perfectly when unmolded. The golden caramel on top provides a bittersweet contrast to the intensely sweet, eggy custard, making it the crown jewel of Filipino desserts.
