🇮🇷 Iran recipe
Halim
Halim is one of the oldest dishes in Persian cuisine, a slow-cooked porridge of wheat berries and shredded meat that is pounded together until it reaches a smooth, velvety consistency. Traditionally served for breakfast during cold winter months and during the holy month of Ramadan, halim is deeply nourishing and comforting. It is served in bowls with a generous dusting of cinnamon and sugar, and a drizzle of melted butter.
