🇱🇰 Sri Lanka recipe
Dal Curry
Dal curry, known locally as parippu or dhal, is the soul of Sri Lankan home cooking. It appears at virtually every meal, a creamy, golden lentil curry enriched with coconut milk and perfumed with curry leaves and pandan. Unlike Indian dal, which can vary widely, Sri Lankan dal curry has a signature flavor profile defined by roasted curry powder, coconut milk, and a temper of mustard seeds, cumin, and dried chilies that sizzles on top just before serving.
