🇧🇩 Bangladesh recipe
Tehari
Tehari is Old Dhaka's iconic one-pot beef and rice dish, born in the narrow lanes of the old city where it has been cooked over wood fires for centuries. Unlike biriyani, tehari cooks the meat and rice together from the start, allowing the rice to absorb every bit of the rich, spiced beef stock. With potatoes adding heft and caramelized onions providing sweetness, tehari is hearty, aromatic, and deeply satisfying street food.
