🇳🇬 Nigeria recipe

Suya

Suya is Nigeria's most famous street food, originating from the Hausa people of Northern Nigeria and now beloved across the entire country and beyond. Thin slices of beef are generously coated in yaji, a complex spice mix built on a base of ground roasted peanuts, dried chili peppers, ginger, and onion powder. Grilled over open charcoal flames until smoky and slightly charred, suya is traditionally served on newspaper with sliced onions, tomatoes, and extra yaji for dipping.
