🇳🇵 Nepal recipe

Kwati

Kwati is a nourishing Nepali soup made from a mixture of nine different sprouted beans, traditionally prepared during the festival of Janai Purnima to mark the changing of the sacred thread. The sprouting process activates enzymes and nutrients in the beans, making kwati exceptionally healthy and easy to digest. Each household has its own combination of beans and spicing, but the result is always a thick, hearty, warming soup that celebrates the diversity of Nepal's legume heritage.
